Get Involved at Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary

Conservation of this special place relies on volunteers and community scientists.
There are many ways to get involved in wildlife and habitat conservation at the Sanctuary! We rely on community members to meet our mission in several ways.

Volunteers engage and educate visitors from around the world, inspire the next generation of
conservation stewards, support the protection and restoration of natural landscapes, and more!

The Sanctuary also hosts community science programs to promote environmental awareness and actively engage the public in the collection of data on bird and butterfly species in and near the Sanctuary. The information collected by community scientists is used to improve local and national knowledge of bird and butterfly distribution and population trends.  Information collected can also be incorporated into natural resource management plans.
