Since 2009, Duke Energy Florida (DEF) improved lines and retrofitted structures for its comprehensive avian protection plan. More recently, DEF spent $500 million on avian protection upgrades to improve reliability and protect wildlife.
The power line design is based on recommendations from the Avian Powerline Interaction Committee and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Since 2002, DEF has donated nearly $1 million to 约炮视频 organizations in Florida, including funding this year to its 约炮视频 Bald Eagle Conservation Program.
